Wolfram Alpha is a powerful engine for computing answer and providing answer. It can be so much fun to play with. You can literally ask anything and it will give an answer to you.

Problem

I was trying to use their API. So I registered an account and created an AppID.

Then I make a simple API call

http://api.wolframalpha.com/v1/result?appid=VURUPU-UR8UKWRVE8&i=How+far+is+Los+Angeles+from+New+York%3f

I was replied with an error

Error 1: Invalid appid

I have tried creating multiple AppID and they gave me the same error.

Solution to fix Wolfram Alpha error

The solution is really simple and some of you might missed it like I did.

You simply need to verify your email address and they will work instantly.
